EMTA may, from time to time, collect information from you or ask you to update information previously provided by you in order to inform you about EMTA activities and to provide goods and services to you in furtherance of its mission as a trade association. This information may include (but is not limited to) data such as your email address, phone numbers, interests, information relating to your professional affiliation and/or payment processing information (“Your Data”). Your privacy is important to us and EMTA seeks only to collect and/or process the information that is needed to provide these goods or services to you to the extent that you wish to receive them.
In applying for EMTA login credentials, or in continuing to use the login credentials you have already been granted, you consent to receiving information from us and to the collection and processing of Your Data by EMTA from time to time for the purposes specified above, which may include accessing website content reserved for EMTA Members (“Member Only Content”), receiving information about EMTA events and activities and/or registering for EMTA events. You may (i) withdraw your consent at any time to our use, collection or retention of Your Data (but as a result you may lose website access and/or event registration capability), (ii) change certain of your preferences with respect to the information you receive from us, (iii) deactivate your account or (iv) request the removal altogether of Your Data from the EMTA database and the systems of its data processors (subject to the fulfillment of your outstanding obligations).
Your Data may be collected by and stored with certain professional data processing vendors under contract with EMTA from time to time for the provision of these services. EMTA does not store credit card information with these vendors, but your credit card information may be stored by a third party payment system if you opt to utilize a credit card to process payments to EMTA.
The EMTA website and the NetForum profile management and event registration site use cookies to provide necessary functionality and improve your visitor experience. If you choose not to accept cookies, certain features will not function. We do not use cookies associated with third party advertisers.
Occasionally, EMTA may send a third party-sponsored mailing with content of interest to our constituency. Your Data is never shared with these third parties as the mailing is sent by EMTA and not the third party. You may opt out of these third party mailings by adjusting the messaging preferences section found in your “My Information” page.
FOR EMTA MEMBERS: If you are an employee of an organization that is an EMTA Member, by using your login credentials for website access or event registration, you confirm that at each time you access Member Only Content (i) you are an employee of, or affiliated with, a current EMTA Member organization, (ii) you will treat Member Only Content as confidential, (iii) you have not and will not share your username or password information, and (iv) you will notify EMTA immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your username and password information.
FOR NON-MEMBERS: If you are not an employee of an organization that is an EMTA Member but otherwise have requested and received login credentials, by using your login credentials for website access or event registration, you confirm that you have not and will not share your username or password with any other person, and you will notify EMTA immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your username and password information.
The EMTA website and the information on it are not intended to be viewed by, or for distribution to or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution would be contrary to applicable law.
We may update the EMTA Privacy Policy and Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to our data collection and processing practices or terms of use. Updates to the EMTA Privacy Policy and Terms of Use will be indicated on the EMTA website homepage and we encourage you to periodically check the EMTA website homepage for the latest version of it.
